Soo glad spring is finally here, although when I look outside today it sure doesn’t look like it is here. But here is some beautiful wildlife photos to brighten your day. #camrosenaturephotographer #camrosephotographer #nikon #alberta #albertawildlife

I found a Red Breasted Merganser the other day. This merganser is not normally in our area it breeds in Alaska and across northern Canada. So it was just passing through and used this pond as a rest stop. They need to eat 15-20 fish per day to maintain their energy reserves, he was diving for the stickelback in this pond. #camrosephotographer #camrosenaturephotographer #nikonphotography #nikon #merganser #canadageographic #alberta #albertawildlife
Today we spent the afternoon at Elk Island National Park hiking one of the trails. As we were leaving there was 4 Bison on the side of the road. We paused to watch them for a bit and the most interesting thing happened. The lead Bison came up to the side of the road paused and looked both directions before crossing the road. all the rest of the Bison did the very same thing as they crossed. It was a fabulous day! #camrosephotographer
In the grey dreary days of winter hoar frost is so beautiful and sparkly. It also helps to have a few feathered friends brighten the day with their antics. Camrose County #camrosephotographer #camrose #naturephotography
This idea of this project started at the very beginning of our lockdown back in Feb. I took me quite a few nature trips and lots of fuel to get the photos for this book. It gave me direction and a goal to aim for, it helped me through the lockdown and the loss of so many events that had to be cancelled. This book is available to be purchased just click on the link below. #camrosephotographer #albertabirds #albertanaturephotography #canadiangeo #canada #canadaphotography #yourshotphotography #nikonphotography #nikonphotographer
Hello......whatch ya doing down there? We took some time to unwind and reset and getting outside was exactly what we needed. With all this nice weather I was able to pull out a lawn chair and just sit to watch and listen to the birds. This Common Redpoll landed only 10 feet away from me and paused to check me out. Such a sweet tough little bird. Some will tunnel into the snow to stay warm at night. #camrosephotographer

I found this cute little pot bellied Blackcapped Chickadee drinking the melting snow from the spruce twig. And the Blue Jay it was trying really hard to get a peanut that was just out of reach. City of Camrose, Alberta Tourism Camrose
We went for a drive today to find a Prairie Falcon, which we did find but it didn't want it's picture taken. We continued on with our drive and found a Great Horned Owl which flew off and we were unable to get a photo. So feeling a little let down we continued on to Miquelon Lake Provincial Parkt to walk some trails. We were just starting out when I was dive bombed by some Chickadees. I decided to hold my hand out just to see what would happen, well they started landing o...n my fingers looking for food. I didn't have any, so they just look at me, peck at my fingers. They just gave me the ol stink eye.... What a great day it turned out to be, spending time with Sean, the fresh air, and scolding Chickadees. Stay safe and healthy everyone! #camrosephotographer #camrosecounty #camrosetourism #birdphotography #canadiangeo #albertabirds
