Fear and anxiety about Covid-19 can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children, not to mention the stress that isolation has on people. Taking care of yourself, your friends, and your family can help you cope with stress. Helping others cope with their stress can also make your community stronger. Ways to cope with stress... Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting. Take care of your body. Take deep breaths, stretch, or try meditation. Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals. Exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep. Avoid alcohol and drugs. Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy. Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling. What are you doing to cope during this time? #proteadental #stressmanagement #copingwithcovid #barriedentist #meditation #emotionsmatter #bekindtoyourbody

In response to the COVID-19-pandemic, the RCDSO AND CDHO strongly recommended that all non-essential and elective dental services should be suspended immediately. In accordance with our mandate to serve our community and to act in the best interest of the public, our patients and our team, we will NOT be open for dental appointments or check-ups. We are CLOSING THE OFFICE with the exception of Emergency Services to contain the spread of COVID-19. This recommendation is set t...o be reassessed in the first week of April and we will keep you updated as this current situation unfolds. Should you need immediate care, please email/call us and leave a detailed message, and we will do our best to return your call within 24 hours. Thank you for understanding and cooperation in this manner. We are certainly hopeful that these enhanced measures over the coming weeks will protect our community from COVID-19 and to help mitigate its spread in Ontario. If you, or any family members begin to experience any symptoms of COVID-19 the following steps should be taken: 1. Check the COVID-19 self assessment tool at www.ontario.ca. 2.
