Carolling diesels A handful of L&A farmers have decided to "carefully" spread a little Christmas cheer. We have decorated some tractors and will be parading th...is evening in the Town of Greater Napanee. We will follow the usual route leaving NDSS at 6, EXCEPT we will turn west at Bridge, drive up to the hospital, across to Dundas and back to downtown. Please follow COVID protocols and stay 2m apart and wear a mask. We have not advertised this because we want to keep it local and safe! Merry Christmas!!

Looks like others are becoming aware of dangerous practices on our highways. Now I am receiving pictures of unsafe and potentially deadly situations . The following occurred two weeks ago on hwy 33 west of Amherstview. It only takes a few minutes to make this situation safe opposed to the alternative.

There are local driving jobs available the problem is there are no drivers available. Pro-Tech is working hard with local companies to provide qualified drivers for their business . These jobs require DZ and AZ licences. That being said , if someone locally is looking for a driving career , but lacks the proper licence we may be able to match you up with one of these employers after your training. Funding may be available for your training as well, depending on your situati...on. If you are unemployed or want a change , give us a call. "Work local, shop local, stay local, enjoy life"

You know there just comes a time when you have seen enough and you have to speak out. The video here was taken today Oct 16/20 on Slash Road West of Napanee . A road that has become very busy of late and is in a higher speed zone. Everything about this contractors operation not only contrevens The Traffic Control Manual - Book 7 for the Province of Ontario but it is in such non compliance that should Ministry of Labour see this, they would probably shut down this operation.... Flag Persons are required to direct traffic when a lane is shut down . but that is just the start of the issues here.. The overriding issue here is this : Before a contractor or any one works on a right of way they must 1. get approval from the road Authority before begining work and 2 must provide the road authority with the Traffic Protection Plan they will be using and it must be approved by the Municipality. The Road authority is also required to monitor the contractor for compliance. I doubt if that took place because if it did this dangerous set up would not be allowed. Minimum Standards are not the only area that could financially impact a Municipality any accident arising from this , in a civil suit may very well be just as disasterous, but more importantly the chance of an injury producing accident or worse a fatality is simply unacceptable. Its time these rules were enforced to protect everyone using our roads See more
