You may or may not know but the Bay announced it was closing on Tuesday March 17, 2020 nationally for two weeks and then announced on Friday March 27, 2020 that it will remain closed due to the ongoing concerns around Covid 19 indefinitely. Over the last few weeks we have worked hard to set up in a new location and even have set up a fabrication site to complete all outstanding orders of orthoses and assure you we are following all the established guidelines set out by Health... Canada and other agencies. Anyone who had ordered orthoses we are happy to report that all shells have been fabricated and we are in the process of finishing your order, once complete you will be contacted. I have also been 3D printing face shields and surgical straps if you or know someone in need let me know. 2 hours later, I am sourcing the plastic shield portion, which attaches to the upper head band and bottom holder it is kept on via string or a stretch band, this is a PETG material which is more flexible and have enough to make 200 shields, I have other material which I am trying to get access (PLA) which could produce 500 Prothotics/Healthwest 3D Printpro stay positive stay safe

Another day trying to remain positive, and Prothotics/Healthwest and 3DPrintpro continue working on patients orthoses, we may have an opportunity to get into our facility to retrieve materials to begin finishing them. Staying Positive and continuing to complete R&D work, 3D printing again shows that you can produce products literally anywhere like your kitchen island, today we are printing a flexible material with a design profile to help with heel pain, the grid design helps reduce ground contact forces and we continue to print the shells needed for the custom orthoses patients have ordered prior to the closing of our main facility. learnt a few things the last few days, first Jess and I can pack up the critical components of the clinic and 3d research systems in less than an hour and move them to a satellite location, it has been a crazy few days but we are designing and printing today. 3d printpro research continues and are rerouting our supplies, and have set up a treatment room for those cases that need to be seen. Always something new, I met a new patient recently immigrated to Winnipeg hates the cold loves his new life but was having a great deal of pain on his left foot, omn initial assessment it was found that he lost most of his foot from a landmine incident and was wearing size 10 shoes, he had developed a very thick callusing under the lateral plantar foot related to the trauma he had suffered, we debrided the area showed him how to use a foot file and went over homecare and with Brooks help got him a size 10 D width shoe for his right foot and a 6 D for his left and him him a standard right orthoses and this specialized one for his left foot, he is doing very well and hasn't had any pain in his left foot, he still hates the cold though.
