Providence Care's values of respect, dignity, compassion and stewardship are at the heart of everything we do. Those values are the legacy of our founders, the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul. Our mission is to instill hope and enhance the quality of life of the people we serve. We are celebrating our special history this week during the second annual National Catholic Health Care Week. VP and CHSO Sandra Carlton explains what makes life at Providence Care so special. Neil Elford, our Director of Spiritual Health, Misson and Ethics reflects on National Catholic Health Care Week. The work of Canada's 129 Catholic health providers is particularly important in times of crisis when those who are most vulnerable or marginalized tend to be further silenced. We are proud of the work we do to instill hope in others and to make a difference in quality of life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a-2FlKFTBo&feature=youtu.be

Today is World Mental Health Day! Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. Help shine a spotlight on mental health today and every day! Don’t forget to check in on loved ones and friends this Thanksgiving weekend. A simple phone call reminds them they’re not alone. Let’s keep the conversation going and put an end to the stigma. Remember it’s okay to not be okay. And it’s okay to ask for help.
