Here the ways of men divide. If you wish to strive for peace of soul and happiness, then believe; if you wish to be a disciple of truth, then inquire. -- Friedrich Nietzsche Truth is more important than feelings, and to help our customer, we sometimes need to bruise some egos to get to the truth. Today is the first day back in the office for many of my clients, and it can be a little difficult to pick up from where you left off during the holidays. In order to maximize this Monday in particular, here are 4 quick tips on how to ease yourself back into the swing of things. Preparation. If you haven’t already done it, take some time right now to prepare your day and plan out your activities. We are creatures of habit and the best way to get your business mindset back is... to jump right into it. Don’t cram it all in. You’ll have emails jamming up your inbox, voicemails to return, other calls to make, and any number of other items on your task list. You probably won’t get it all done today and that’s okay. Pace yourself, don’t stress about it, and make sure you have a plan. Reaffirm your Why. This really is an exercise that should be part of your everyday routine, however the first day back is a great time to remind yourself of why you do what you do and what role you play in the bigger picture. Remove unnecessary distractions. It’s tough enough to get the flow back in your day when returning from your time off, so don’t complicate it with items that would not contribute to completing tasks. #MaximizeYourMonday http://ow.ly/90IE50CZ0eT

#PhilosophicalFriday Seeking the path to enlightenment is not a road you can willfully find. It is a path that finds you, once you are ready for it. There is a story about Buddha teaching a student about this path, and how what we seek is sometimes the very thing we avoid. Read the story on the SellAssist blog, and let me know your comments. ... https://sellassist.blogspot.com//the-path-to-enlightenment

Today is #WinningWednesday which means it’s the middle of the week and a great milestone for which to measure your progress. By this point you should be at 50% or more of your weekly targets; whether it’s calls, meetings, sales, prospecting whatever you planned last week, you should be half-way through it. Most reps have targets that are typically set for us each quarter or each month, but what about the targets we set (or should be setting) each day? Each week? Revenue tar...gets are not accomplished by sheer will alone. It’s the result of meticulously planned activity, strategy, multi-channel touchpoints, and aligning with the right market. I would encourage you to take a minute to study your stage conversion ratios this week and find out how many calls it takes to get a meeting, how many meetings it takes to draft a proposal, and how many proposals you need to make a sale. Then, once you’ve figured it out, play with the numbers and work them forwards and backwards. Can you determine how many calls you need to make each day, week, month, or quarter to hit your revenue targets? How accurate are your predictions? I would love to hear your feedback in the comments section, and don’t forget to visit the SellAssist blog, https://sellassist.blogspot.com/.
