Buddy is back! Thank you everyone for your quick responses to our post. Buddy is now chilling out on the couch with me. And a special thanks to my neighbor at the end of the block who spotted Buddy going down his back alley and immediately called Jack.

A Border Collie, approximately 2 years old, named Buddy, jumped the fence this afternoon. Ive looked everywhere but cant find him. He may try to go home to Oyen. Hes friendly and a little timid. I received an inquiry today regarding a dog that has begun to constantly chew on his/her leg and is pulling out the hair. When taken to their regular vet, this lady was told there is nothing wrong with her dog. This vet is either stupid or just plain lazy, which is even worse, and doesnt want to do the research it takes to solve this very real problem. I am a K9 Specialist and know from experience that there is a very real reason this dog has begun to behave in this manner. ...DOGS DO NOT FAKE IT! In my opinion, this dog is suffering from some kind of irritant, either environmental, the dog has gotten into something, youre using a new type of cleaner, the dog had gotten into stagnant water with algae growing in it or it is diet related, something in the dogs diet has changed. If your vet is unwilling to find a solution for the symptoms, my advice is to find another vet that is not afraid to dig until an answer is found.
