Military Sports is proud to introduce our 2019 CAF Sports Official of the year nominee! Sgt Tony Krueger is an outstanding member of the Canadian Sporting Community and a proud member of the CAF. Sgt Krueger's passion for the sport of soccer is evident through his countless hours he has spent as an official in the year 2019. Here are some of his accomplishments:... March 2019: Sgt Krueger was requested to officiate at two CISM events. MAY 2019: He was sought out by the Renfrew Board of Education to become involved in high school soccer to officiate soccer for both girls and boys, junior and senior games. May 2019-Sept 2019: Officiated U-12 to U-19 and adults within the local community with both the Upper Ottawa Valley Adult Soccer League and the Petawawa Minor Soccer Association. June - Aug 2019: Approached by the University of Nippising under the Ontario Soccer Association, so that he would officiate University games in North Bay. Summer 2019: Officiated for both the men and women of the CAF at the Regionals which were hosted at CFB Borden and was requested via National Sports to officiate at the CAF Nationals which were hosted at 8 WG/CFB Trenton. October 2018 present: Sgt Krueger volunteered to be the Chief Official for Garrison Petawawa's Inter-Unit soccer program, which required selecting, mentoring and training of new and returning officials, scheduling officials for all inter unit games and maintaining communication with the sport department on any issues, suspensions, safety and rule regulations.
