RSVP NOW FOR OUR FIRST EVENT OF THE YEAR! We've missed you

As many of you might know, it was nearly one year ago that PSS decided to make it our mission to help create a difference for the future of Pakistan: by helping our youth. With an ambitious goal of CAD$12,000 in mind, we set out to fundraise and dedicate our events' profits towards the underprivileged children of AIMS College, Islamabad. In December 2019, you blew us away with your passion and support at Dine & Dhamaal and we pledged to match up to CAD$5000 of donations in r...eturn. And then ever so close to our most anticipated Daawat of 2020, the world was hit with this pandemic. Just like you, we were crushed by the thought of what could have been; but more importantly, the mission we had set out to achieve, now in ruins. Yet once again, you've astounded us. Out of sheer goodwill, so many of you voluntarily donated your ticket money towards this cause and today, after one of the most memorable years for us all, it is only thanks to each and every one of you that we have managed to raise an insane CAD$13,636.11 for these children. Let that sink in. Against all odds, you not only helped us reach our goal but surpass it, and it would not have been possible without all the folks that have generously donated, attended our events, contributed to GoFundMe, spread the word, or simply followed along our journey. Thanks for joining us every step of the way and allowing us to provide the best we can do for not only you UofC students, but even those not as fortunate back home. On Saturday, September 26th, our friends over at Islamic Relief Canada will be hosting an exciting Cricket for Karachi event at Riley Park, Calgary! 8 teams of 8-10 people can take part in this fun game of cricket while supporting our fellow Pakistanis affected by the floods in Karachi.
