But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart - what must it have been like for Mary to hear the shepherds proclaim what they had experienced and seen? What did she feel when faced with the obedience and faith of these people who believed what was told to them by the Lord and made haste to come and see her son? How would we feel if we were in her shoes? Life presents us with many surprises, some are easy to grasp and accept, other times, they can ov...erwhelm us, and we may falter on the way. What can we learn from how the Bible says Mary responded? She was present to the mystery, she allowed it to consume her, take root in her soul and as she held this tiny infant close to her heart, she pondered on what it all could mean. I imagine it was an experience like no other, filled with wonder and awe. What she had known in the deepest depth of her being -proclaimed for all to hear! And we know, today, that this was just the beginning! When we are faced with news that we may or may not understand, many of us reach for our phones or we seek out other people and begin talking it out to make sense of it all. But perhaps we need to be more like Mary? Maybe we need to stay still in the silence, with our Father, and allow the Holy Spirit to make the paths straight in our minds and hearts. To simply take the time to ponder on everything and let Him do his work. To trust in Him as Mary did- in every moment- for everything. Louise Fillion See more

Hello everyone, it is with regret that we must inform you that new restrictions have now been implemented in the Southern Health Region starting tonight, November 12th, at midnight. Due to the rising number of positive cases being recorded in the region, we are now required to limit the amount of people at mass.... We will only be able to accommodate 25 people on the church main floor, 25 people upstairs and there is a possibility that we may be able to set up another group of 25 people in the St Alphonsus Hall. (TBA) We cannot have groups intersecting with each other. Therefore we ask that if you have been reserved: *for the main floor, that you only use the front doors *for the upstairs, only use the doors nearest to the Tabernacle *for the St Alphonsus Hall, only the door to the hall Please respect the measures put in place. The wearing of a mask is mandatory at all times and we ask that you refrain from entering the building if you are not able to do so. The only method to reserve a space at mass is to call: 204-422-8823 and leave a message. Please do not email, text or add your name to the list at the door. It will help us a lot if there is only one method to make a reservation, so please call at least 24 hours prior to the mass you wish to attend. Please do not come if you have not received a confirmation phone call letting you know which area you have been reserved for, thank you so much. There is no need to call ahead for the weekday masses. Thank you for your cooperation. We appreciate your patience and hope that as we all do what we can to avoid spreading the virus, that this will not last. May God have mercy on us

A lady went to the Pastor and said ... "I won’t be attending Church anymore." He said, "May I ask why??" She said, "I see people on their cell phones during t...he service, some are gossiping, some just ain’t living right, they are all just hypocrites." The Pastor got silent and he said, "Ok... But can I ask you to do something for me before you make your final decision?" She said, "What’s that?" He said, "Take a glass of water and walk around the Church 2 times and don’t let any water fall out the glass." She said, "Yes I can do that." She came back and said "It’s done." He asked her 3 questions: 1. Did you see anybody on their phone? 2. Did you see anybody gossiping? 3. Was anybody living wrong? She said, "I didn’t see anything because I was so focused on this glass, so the water wouldn’t fall." He told her, "When you come to Church, you should be just that focused on God , so that you don’t fall. That’s why Jesus said 'Follow me.' He did not say follow Christians. Don’t let your relationship with God be determined by how others relate with God. Let it be determined by how focused YOU are on God." See more
