There’s no such thing. The ‘golden ticket’ is you. It’s YOUR self-reflection, YOUR relationship with your child, YOUR creativity. You are the expert. You know yourself and your child best. We’re here to support you along the way.

What’s usually our instinct when our kiddo is engaging in challenging behavior? To give a reprimand. That’s enough! Don’t do that! No! Stop! Often when we give this reprimand, our child stops the behavior temporarily, but the behavior continues to happen the next day. Why is that? Because we’re so busy focusing on telling them what NOT to do that we forget to show them what TO do. Modelling the replacement behaviour doesn’t come naturally. So give it some thought, w...rite down the replacement behavior for the challenging behavior and then put it into practice! If our kiddo responds to the replacement behavior, offer immediate and specific praise: Yes, thank you for tapping my hand instead of hitting me. NOW you have my attention!
