Revised class schedule with classes a little shorter to allow for sanitizing between classes: Mondays: 5pm - 6pm Youth & Family (8 yrs+) 8pm - 9.15pm Adults (14 yrs+) Wednesdays: 8pm - 9.15pm Adults (14 yrs+) Thursdays: 5pm - 6pm Youth & Family (8 yrs+)... Dear Members Together with the other programs at the PMSC, we have decided to cancel classes for the remaining 2 weeks of the winter session, and delay the start of the Spring session by a week. We feel this is the best decision that serves the greater good of our community. Classes will resume Monday, April 6, unless the medical situation at that time dictates otherwise.... We look forward to seeing you again then.

Dear Members, Parents and Member Families During this time of uncertainty, we want to share with you the steps that Peterborough Multi-Sport Club (PMSC) is taking to safeguard this facility during the current health situation. We are asking ALL members and member families to adhere to these practices.... #1 If there is sickness in your household, please STAY HOME. #2 SOCIAL DISTANCING is being recommended to help slow the spread of germs. To achieve this at the club, we are going to modify class start and end times slightly to create a 15-minute window between classes. We further ask that families limit their onsite presence as much as possible. If your athlete is of an age where they can enter and exit the facility without parental supervision, then we would ask that you adopt that practice and arrange an appropriate pick-up procedure outside the entrance. These efforts will minimize contact in the lobby and remove bottle necks at the entrance. New jiu jitsu class times as follows: Monday: Youth & Family 5pm 6.20pm; Adult 8.15pm 10pm Wednesday: Adult 8.15pm 10pm Thursday: Youth & Family 5pm 6.20pm Friday: Open mat 6.40pm 8.30pm Saturday: Adult 2.15pm 4pm Please do not arrive more than five minutes early for class. #3 Jiu jitsu members are to use the NORTH ENTRANCE (not the main entrance) until further notice. #4 UPON ENTRY, please use the hand sanitizer provided. Also, use hand sanitizer when returning to the mats after a water break. #5 If comfortable doing so, adults may use the equipment area to get changed. If traveling in your personal vehicle, consider changing before coming, but please dont do this if using public transit, taxis or walking. #6 AVOID handshaking, touching your face. Over the next 2-4 weeks, we will be reducing the amount of grappling type techniques practiced, and instead focussing on areas such a break-falling, striking & kicking, and weapons use (sword, staff & baton). PMSC has increased our daily sanitation practices. Common surfaces like faucet taps, doorknobs, tables and chairs are being cleaned frequently throughout the duration of classes. In addition, there is an end of day thorough spray down of all of the above-mentioned surfaces. Mat cleaning schedule has been increased from daily to after each class. Best practices for hand washing are now posted in the washroom. If you are the parent of a young child, your supervision of their hand washing, to ensure it is thorough, would be appreciated. With our diligence and member families cooperation, we can continue to ensure that PMSC remains open for business throughout this health situation. Peterborough Jiu Jitsu Club

Saturday class is on this week (groundwork focus), but cancelled next week due to the Ontario provincial seminar.

No youth & family classes this Thursday as everyone will probably be trick-or-treating.

Nice visit from Ollie Struther Sensei last night, and we worked on some of his techniques today.

A small but very enjoyable seminar today - working some fundamental details of four throws: sumi-otoshi, kokyu-nage; harai-goshi and uchi-mata. A few photos of Fox Sensei's segment.
