Our Festival Committee is sad to share that Fran Anderson has passed away, peacefully, at the PRHC. A dedicated volunteer and ever-supportive Festival Mom, seen here running our fundraising raffle. Thank you Fran for the many years of participating and cheering for our Festival and Survivors Abreast Peterborough Dragon Boat Team !

Volunteers from Survivors Abreast Peterborough Dragon Boat Team and our Festival organizing committee presented representatives from PRHC Foundation with a cheque for $55,449.41 today in support of RIVA A Robotic IV Automation System for chemotherapy. Although the physical Festival was cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, through reimagined events such as a call to paddlers to #PaddleAtHome and submit photos and videos of their creative ways to #GetintheBoat, a Dragon Drive Through event to mark what would have been Festival Day, as well as the support of our sponsors, teams, and generous donors, the Festival is happy to be presenting a cheque to the PRHC Foundation!

Thanks Anna for sharing your story in battling triple negative breast cancer. Buckle up! The Quarter Mile Gas Station is hosting a Car Cruise, with proceeds being donated to our Festival! This is a public (Socially distanced) event on Sept. 12, no classic car necessary. We couldn't let our 2020 Festival Day go by without making some memories... The Survivors Abreast Peterborough Dragon Boat Team, sponsors and committee volunteers were invited to mark the occasion with a #PinkCarParade. Our fantastic Festival Chair safely gave away handmade face-masks in our #DragonDriveThru. This event was approved to meet Public Health guidelines and City safety measures - there was even a dragon-sized mask! ... Sign-up for our newsletter to see some fun moments from today.
