TBT. An after and during picture of a stairwell that was brought up to firecode in a house that was made into two legal rentals. All structural penetrations fire caulked, Rockwool Safe&Sound insulation, resilient channeling on walls and ceiling. 2 layers Type X on walls and ceiling. Drywall taped and finished. Interlinked smoke and carbon monoxide detector installed. Firecode job in the mechanical room of a rental to prevent putting a sprinkler system in. Ceiling cavity has safe& sound insulation, resilient channel, 2 layers of Type C drywall on the ceiling, Type X drywall on walls. Drywall taped and a quick coat of compound over top.
