In the box "DID YOU RECEIVE NOTICE ABOUT THIS SHOW FROM A THEATRE?" be sure to type in "SHOWPLACE PERFORMANCE CENTRE". Ron and his crew will then make a donation to Showplace. Let's get our laugh on! Tune in New Year’s Eve as Canada’s #1 touring comedian rides the ‘Corona Coaster’ that was 2020 into hell bound oblivion where it bel...ongs!! We at Showplace are thrilled to have received a grant from the Ontario government’s Rural Economic Development program in support of our capital campaign for seat replacement in the theatre. Many thanks to the Ontario Government, Rural Economic Development, and to Peterborough-Kawartha MPP Dave Smith.

We are so happy that the Peterborough Public Library asked us to help out with this. Such a fun initiative! Put on your walking shoes and take the kids for a walk to check out this great story (hint-check the front doors right around a little one’s eye level )

Last Friday, May 15, The Shows Must Goes On concluded its Andrew Lloyd Webber weekly programming with the broadcast of Cats, along with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s live commentary. But the shows will, indeed, go on! Today, The Shows Must Go On YouTube channel announced that the series will continue with The Sound of Music Live!, branching out from its previous exclusive Andrew Lloyd Webber programming. The broadcast will stream on Friday, May 21 at 2 PM (EDT), and the recording wil...l remain accessible for 48 hours. The Sound of Music Live! television special was originally broadcast by NBC in December 2013. Based on the original 1959 Broadway production, the television musical features the classic tunes by Rodgers and Hammerstein. The live television production stars Carrie Underwood as Maria and Stephen Moyer as Captain Georg von Trapp. The production also features Audra McDonald, Laura Benanti, Christian Borle, and Sophia Anne Caruso among other stars of the stage and screen.
