The Sternocleidomastoid (SCM) stretch is one of the most popular stretches provided by our clinicians. Why? Because many of our patients who work a sedentary job experience neck pain, due to improper posture. SCM pain can also have other causes, including: overhead work, injuries such as whiplash or falls, sleeping on your stomach with your head turned to one side, and shallow chest breathing.
