Even though we’re all staying home and exercising outdoors close to home right now, you will be able to book this summer’s #reservationrequired visit to the #Gr...otto or Halfway Log Dump starting on April 29. Confirmed bookings are required to access the Grotto and Cyprus Lake Area between May 20 and October 31. Confirmed bookings are required to access Halfway Log Dump between June 18 and September 7. To align with the Ontario stay-at-home order, access to camping and reserved parking areas is currently suspended. Parks Canada is not booking reservations for dates between May 1 and May 20. Starting April 29, parking reservations can be booked for dates between May 20 and October 31, 2021. Travelling to Bruce Peninsula National Park without a confirmed reservation can lead to disappointment. Other first-come, first served parking... lots are expected to fill early each morning. Once parking lots are full, there is no access to shoreline, hiking trails or picnic areas in the park. Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park is experiencing high visitation in 2020. Once parking lots are full, usually by mid-morning e...ach day, there is no access to shoreline, hiking trails or picnic areas in the park. Making a spontaneous trip to the park will likely result in waiting in long traffic line ups and in being redirected. Last weekend approximately 2000 visitor vehicles had to turn around at park kiosks and entry points since all parking lots were full. To avoid disappointment, plan in advance and consider visiting us this fall.
