I’ll be backvery soon! Wow, I have missed you! Slowly but surely, I'll be reopening my doors to you, my amazing clients (as of Tuesday, June 23rd). I can’t wait to celebrate as we meet again in the weeks to come. I’ll first be reaching out to those whose appointments had to be cancelled since the start of this pandemic, and will then be in touch with others who have left messages asking for a call back. ... To all of you who left messages of support, encouragement and friendship, I can’t tell you how much these all meant to me. You helped get me through these past several months of uncertainty and an overwhelming time for so many of us. If you haven’t yet left a message and are wanting to schedule an appointment, please send me a DM with your contact number (or call the salon phone), and I’ll be happy to add you to my ‘call list’ in the days to come. I thank you for your patience and understanding, as I make this transition back to doing what I love, with people I love to be with! Lastly, please know that our health, safety and wellbeing are my top priority. As I’m sure you can imagine (or may have heard), there will be some new protocols and procedures to get used to over the next little while, until we overcome the current Covid situation. This means that: You will be asked to answer health questions before entering the salon (and if you are not well or have been in contact with a probable case of Covid, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment) Personal belongings brought into the salon will be limited to a minimum (only what is necessary) No food or drink should be brought inside at this time You will be asked to sanitize or wash your hands upon entering There will be no (or minimal) hair-drying for the first few weeks I encourage you to wear a mask, especially since we will not be able to practice proper social distancing Only the person(s) booked for the appointment should come to the salon You kindly arrive on time, to the best of your ability (not early, not late especially for the first few weeks); it will be imperative for everyone to respect appointment times because of the ongoing sanitization that will take place between clients Appointment times will be scheduled with a slight transition period in between each, during which the salon high traffic areas and surfaces will be disinfected and sanitized I look forward to seeing you.WELCOME HOME!!!

This Friday, April 3, at 7 p.m. Please join the City of Burlington as we show our appreciation for our healthcare and front-line professionals. Stand on you...r front porch, front step, or balcony to clap for 2 minutes so they can hear our gratitude. We thank all of our healthcare and front-line professionals for their remarkable work during the COVID-19 crisis. From doctors and nurses to the janitorial and operational staff at our hospitals, and doctors’ offices, to bus drivers and grocery store workers and the entire logistics chain that manufactures, delivers and sells essential food and supplies we all depend on. Thank you for working long hours, spending time away from your families and loved ones, and for facing new challenges and difficult decisions like never before. Our entire city owes you a debt of gratitude for your skills and service. Thank you for going into work every day for us. You are the reason that the rest of us are staying home to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

So disappointing that people are still taking too many chances. We know it’s hard (especially for the huggers and socializers out there...ahem!!) but it isn’t impossible and will only end once EVERYONE works together and abides by the rules. Please. Listen. Take it seriously.

Please listen to what they say...if we all do our part, we can conquer this thing sooner than what will happen if we don’t take it seriously.

There can be a beautiful sense of calm that comes over you after reading this... Deep breaths, my friends.

To my valued clients (and your families & friends)... Your health and well-being is of utmost importance to me. This is why, based on the recommendation of Ontario's chief medical officer, I have made the very difficult decision to postpone all services and close the salon until further notice. I can't thank you enough for your ongoing support and friendship, and look forward to the day when I can welcome you back and continue to do what I love (maybe I'll even be able to gi...ve you a hug by then?!). I will be checking and responding to messages throughout this time, while taking on a new full time role of daddy day care (maybe I'll even get to nap some days. Hey, I have to look on the bright side!). For those of you with current bookings or those who left messages over the weekend (thank you!), I will be in touch with you tomorrow morning. During this time of uncertainty, most agree that the local economy will be weighed down by the impact of COVID-19. The impacts on small businesses and independe...nts can be particularly heavy as we practice social distancing. Small businesses are by nature risk takers. They choose to invest in our community and our neighbourhoods with the hope that the community will give back to them with the same vigor. These are the entrepreneurs that hire our children, sponsor our sports teams and community groups - they are your neighbours. Our local businesses in Burlington enrich our community daily and are the lifeblood of our sustainable local economy. In the case of our Downtown independent businesses, they are often the people you know by name. We celebrate when these local names succeed and regret when they are forced to close their doors. Shopping locally during this challenging time for Burlington business is more than a good idea it is a necessity to help keep these small businesses flourishing. Our small business community has proven to be a resilient and adaptable group that champions innovation. Now it is the Burlington public’s turn to create innovative ways to support them with many products & essentials available at our local merchants. Here are some ways to support small businesses: Buy meals from local restaurants for delivery or takeout Shop small businesses online Use shipping, door-to-door and delivery services where available Purchase coffee grounds from your local coffee shop Pick up bread or baked goods from your local bakery Consider purchasing gift cards for future use they’ll receive the revenue now while foot traffic is down and you’ll have something to look forward to! Share, tweet, post about your favourite small business let’s spread some positivity! Purchase your personal items, shampoo, soaps, face wash, creams etc. from local businesses instead of busy box stores Don’t cancel appointments, reschedule if possible If there are other to ways support small businesses at this time please comment below & share.

I know, I know...I don’t open on Sundays for just anyone (but for some reason he can always twist my arm...). Tried to grow this kid’s hair out a little, but it just didn’t suit him (yet) so back to the baby boss/all business look for now.
