Secret Jungle x Living Lane Alley @cityofnorthvancouver . It feels great to be adding green to an alley way in the middle of the city, many use this alley to commute to work, rest, eat meals, play with their babies and kids, pick up food and wait for the bus. The space feels much more welcoming and brighter Love @cityofnorthvancouver art projects but this is probably my favorite by far Thank you for letting bring a bit of my home to yours! .

Azureus is joining my lil dart frog family today. . After the show, I told myself to stop for a week, lay in the couch, read, rest but after two days of that my hands were itching to get back to painting! As I transition to new work I paint frogs, they simply make me happy and makes me feel back in Costa Rica in my dad’s little garden full of blue jeans dart frogs. Seaweed bromeliad on seaweed salad pot. This one was a joy to paint, it did take a long time to get that zebra effect but loved working on the colour palette and shapes so much. The main colour I used was Amethyst and it’s a natural pigment watercolour so if you look close you will see a bit of the shimmer that comes from the minerals in the pigment . Tropicana . When I was 5 or 6 yo we had a gigantic Hibiscus plant covered in flowers, next to our home. I used to stare at the hummingbirds and butterflies that would come to eat from these flowers and then shamelessly I would still there food. The nectar was so sweet that it was hard not to do it on the daily . You can view this painting today at Slice of Life Gallery @slicevancouver 1636 Venables Street, the gallery is open from 11am - 11pm. Artist reception: 6pm - 8pm....
