When you try and create a soap that resembles a drink- Mojito Mint is made. The "crackle" effect to represent the bubbles was made by adding a little Titanium Dioxide (a natural white mineral) and then putting the soap into "gel phase" (up to 180F). The natural glycerine (humectant for skin) that forms during the process, is now visible and looks pretty neat. The scent of this bar is so refreshing with the Key Lime, Spearmint and Grapefruit Essential Oils. Key Lime is chosen... as it is not photo toxic to skin in the sun (due to steam distillation). Green color was achieved by Spirulina and Indigo Root powder. Stay tuned for my Mother's Day gift packs coming soon!
