The more we arm ourselves with grace and compassion, the more we become agents of change. The Love for Humanity figurine symbolizes rising together towards a world in which people live free from violence, poverty, and inequality. This soapstone sculpture, with interchangeable multicolour hand-carved hearts, is handmade by artisans in Kenya. Soapstone carving employs hundreds of men and women, ensuring that Kenyan families have shelter, access to medicine, and hope for their future. A perfect Valentine’s gift.

If you feel the world is upside down at the moment, you’re not alone. But only together will we be able to flip it right side up again. What we learned in 2020 is how, when the structure of your business, your projects, and your life feels as if it is crumbling around you, it is family and community that are there to lift you. We learned the power of creativity and determination: how they can propel you beyond fear and empower you to start all over again if need be. We lear...ned the meanings of words like resilience, adaptability, and agility in order to dance in a turbulent world. We learned that the end of a great adventure can be the beginning of something extraordinary. As the first days of 2021 leave their marks, we know that going dark is not an option: we are determined to shine brighter! As we enter longer lockdowns and night curfews, we hold fast to our mission of a fairer, healthier, and kinder world! May we UPLIFT ONE ANOTHER toward it.

As we prepare to close for another lockdown, we cherish all of the encouraging support we’ve received from you over the past few months. Our hearts are filled gratitude! To see you all again was a much needed breath of life into Pure Art, and we feel rekindled in strength and courage to continue the adventure at 132 Chemin de l’Anse in the new year. What a year it has been 2020 taught us the true meaning of resilience, rising up, and being gentler toward one another, all while smiling, with our eyes. Wishing you all a peaceful and restorative holiday, filled with renewed hope for 2021!
