Needlepoints have always been a favourite, but we are seeing an absolute explosion of them from covid projects! A question we are getting asked more and more lately is "how do we glue them down?" and the answer is... we don't!! We hand stretch them with hundreds of stainless steel pins and it's totally reversible. #downtownpembroke #shoplocal #howsyourquarantine
Happy 60 years to the Ladies Auxiliary, Legion Branch 148!
Aren't these incredible! They are hand carved REAL maple leaves by artist Daniel Lee, who was born and raised in China and studied at Dafen Art School. He now lives in Ottawa where he sells these intricate masterpieces.
Float frame for this massive work of art painted by the customer herself! @ Purvis Gallery and Framing Ltd.
Loving these Jeff Jackson fine art cards and their so so crisp display!
These beaded moccasins are handmade and incredibly beautiful. Double stacked mouldings for height and museum glass for clarity to make this memory box worthy of the treasure it holds.
This sweet beachy quilted piece is float mounted to golden silk matting with a whitewashed frame to tie it all together. All in the details on this one. @ Purvis Gallery and Framing Ltd.
Fun was had today carving out these foam forms for the perfect support to mount seashells into a shadow box! @ Purvis Gallery and Framing Ltd.
News paper clippings are one of our favourites! History and sentiment, can there be a better combination for framing?
This is a @stanleydonwood print and the more we learn, the more we love about it! The print process itself and the socio-political themes of the art are fascinating! Fun fact... this artist produced the album covers for Radiohead!! (# 1 fan over here!) What a treasure, and we rank a solid 10/10 for our client's framing choices
This crosstitch is going into a baby girl's nursery made with love by mama to be! So sweet
This style of artwork is not something we see every day! It is called Batik and it is distinctive because the fabric is hand dyed and wax is used as a resistance for the detail. So beautiful! @ Purvis Gallery and Framing Ltd.
