Parry's "English Suite" is one of those pieces that sound effervescent, charming, and light-hearted. But from the musicians' point of view, it's got it's share of finger-twisters! Our soloists on Jan 1 are Ryan Davis and Byungchan Lee. Yale grad Ryan Davis returns to Saskatoon after his recent Los Angeles adventures. Together with Byungchan Lee, who was selected as one of "CBC's Top 30 Under 30" and is playing a Parisian violin from 1869 on loan from the Canada Council, they will perform the Mozart Sinfonia Concertante.
