Expectations on how I was supposed to feel in the room, my emotions, all the crazy things I wanted to do. In the end I recognized that teaching an authentic flow, how I always do, was how I wanted to show up. There was tears, but tears of gratitude and not of sadness. Thank you to every student I’ve had the... honour of leading through a sweaty flow over the years. Big thanks and love to every EE and Assistant I’ve had over the years at all the studios I’ve taught at. WHY WE OM If you've joined us for a class in studio or online, you've experienced that we Om at the beginning and end of every practice. Have you ever stopped and wondered WHY? Read on... The sound or vibration, Om, is said to be the sound of the universe. It is the first sound from the beginning of time, which also encompasses the present and the future. ... Om is connected to our Ajna Chakra (The Third Eye), which represents intuition and self-knowledge. When Om is used at the beginning of a Yoga class, it allows us to become present for the time and space that will be spent on our mat. At the end of class, it signifies that the physical practice has ended. When we Om together in our space, we feel and hear each other's vibrations, and it allows us to connect even deeper as a community.
