To all clients: We are asking that you take home anything that belongs to you around the barn by this weekend except the following which you are of course welcome to keep here until your horse leaves: -Stuff in your lockers... -Your saddles in the tack room -Your totes in front of your stalls -feed totes/garbage cans for feed that we feed from for your horse in front of their stalls -1 blanket and one cooler hanging on your horse's stall rack, along with its halter and lead. We are needing to organize everything and clear out the barn and outside the barn of excess things (doing dump runs etc this weekend, listing items for sale) and want to make sure everyone has their items so as not to accidentally mix them in. Thank you all so much for your help with all of this

Mystery blankets! These blankets have been hanging in the hall for a long time....and we are needing to clean out so please if any of these are yours, come claim them by Nov 30th.

Big huge heartfelt congratulations are in order to Stephanie Schmidt on her purchase of "Austin" Our hearts are full to have you paired with such a sweet young gelding before we move. You have been searching for awhile for your new lifelong partner and friend, and we couldn't be happier for you both. Austin belonged to our lovely working student Marie, and has been lovingly brought along to be the great guy he is. We wish you both the absolute best going forward

With the new health order from Bonnie Henry: The barn has pretty significant protocol already so nothing much will change. But we are posting a reminder today of the protocol that must be followed. Most have been very good at adhering but some have been getting a little lax. Wear mask upon entry to the barn. It must be worn at all times except when mounted. This includes longeing etc.... Sanitize upon entry to the barn with sanitizer provided, every time. Sanitize after riding before heading into the barn Do not put your stuff anywhere but on hooks in arena provided for client use. (Sanitize after use) Spray your leads, halters, stall latch, chairs and any other common touch surface areas or common items used such as client use longeline or whips after use. The lounge remains closed to all but staff, who must sanitize common touch areas immediately after use. What changes today for the next 2 weeks however is use of our equipment. We are asking that for sanitary reasons that you use your own tack and equipment. There are very few of you who fall under this, we will be contacting you directly to come up with a game plan. Thank you for your help and understanding.

We are going through the loft, we need to clear it out asap so if you have stuff in the loft, if you could please go through it and put it elsewhere before Saturday, that would be awesome as we are making dump runs.

They say that all good things come to an end...it is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the forthcoming barn closure here in Langley. The Buckleys will be on to new adventures in Alberta. We will continue to board and teach and train here until the end of December. Mellissa is planning on resuming training/teaching at a limited capacity once settled in Alberta. We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their support, faith, love and business over the years. You cannot possibly know how each of you have made an impact on our lives. We have been so very blessed to have had the opportunity to make strong connections and lifelong friendships through the industry here, and are our lives have truly been enriched by them.

Given the updates by Dr Bonnie Henry yesterday, we wanted to put out a reminder to clients: -Please wear a mask upon entry and continue to wear it except when mounted -Please sanitize hands upon entry with the sanitizer provided -Please maintain 6 ft of distance (a horse length) from others... -Please remember to use back crossties or wall in arena to tie and sanitze after use -Please remember to use the client use longelines and whip and to sanitize afterwards -Please remember to spray down your halter/lead, stall latch and any common areas you touched -The lounge area remains open to staff only at this time Thank you to everyone for your help and understanding as we navigate this pandemic
