Hello Everyone, In light of the COVID-19 social distancing efforts, I have begun taking tele-rehabilitation consultations (video calls). This is a 30 minute service that I am offering for people in the province of New Brunswick with pain, injury, decreased range of motion and/or decreased strength. This allows us to talk over your concerns in an effort to get you going with the correct guidelines, education and specific home exercise program. It is important to know that th...is type of service does have its limits. It does not allow the practitioner to test for passive range of motion, ligament stability, testing of sensation or manual muscle testing. Therefore, the outcome will heavily rely on you to be diligent with your home exercise program and follow the given guidelines. All information discussed on video calls will then be sent to you by email for reminder. This service can now be booked according to availability online at www.pyrophysio.ca The price for this service is 50$, which is partially or fully covered by most insurance companies. Ce service sera offert aux gens de la province du Nouveau-Brunswick afin de traiter les douleurs, les blessures, la perte de mobilité et/ou la diminution de force. Ceci permettra l’éducation des lignes directrices de votre condition, ainsi qu’à créer un programme d’exercice spécifique à vos besoins. Il est important de savoir que ce type de service a ses limites. Ceci ne nous permet pas, comme thérapeutes, d’évaluer le mobilité passive, la stabilité ligamentaire, la sensation ou la force de façon manuelle. Les résultats dépendront donc fortement de votre discipline personnelle à suivre les lignes directrices et exécuter les exercices. À titre de rappel, toutes les informations discutées durant l’appel vidéo vous seront envoyées par courriel après la séance. Hello Everyone, As per the updated information from the New Brunswick Physiotherapy Association, I will be suspending the upcoming appointments as of March 17th 2020 until further notice. You will be contacted directly if you have an appointment in the coming week. Rescheduling will be done at a later date. ... In the mean time, I am working on offering telehealth consultations for new injuries and continued care. They consist of subjective examination, access to education and specific exercise prescription. This would be done using the PhysiApp that most of you have used for your home exercise programs.
