JOB POSTING COMMUNICATION AGENT (Full-time, permanent) Kuujjuaq, Head office... Launched in 2015 as an ethnic and non-for-profit organization, Qarjuit Youth Council (QYC) is looking for a dynamic and motivated youth to join our team as a Community Project Agent. RESPONSABILITIES Reach out to all Nunavik and Chisasibi youth by creating and sharing interesting content on QYC Facebook and Instagram Page; Brainstorm with the team and produce interesting content for the newspaper Uvikkait Ullumi; Get in touch with Local Youth Committees and offer them support in funding applications and project development; Select and order promotional items for QYC projects; Collaborate with the team in the planning of various youth gathering (i.e the Annual General Meeting, retreat on the land with elders, Regional Youth Networking Tour, etc.); Support QYC staff in the execution of all projects in the organization’s yearly action plan; Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. REQUIREMENTS Eager to learn, willing to take on challenges and reliable Good knowledge of computers and Office software (Word, Powerpoint, etc.) A high school diploma (other diplomas will be considered) Be able to communicate and work in Inuktitut and English. Good day! We have re-opened the Local Youth Action Funding 3rd call for projects for 11 more days! You can submit a project to QYC for funding requests for any youth related project! Youth targeted must be between 15-35 years old!... We are having problems with our website, therefore we will only send a document file, or we can Fax them directly to you, or we will send to all NV’s. Wonderful project ideas such as On the land activities, sewing, woodworking, Beading, sports related activities, Youth committee activities, art making (sculpting, carving, painting, drawing, stencils, music, writing, etc), an after school club, photography, all sorts of different projects that can be made available to you! Or you can make available to others! We’ve had teachers, recreation coordinators, youth committees members, multiple non-profit organizations, seamstresses, hockey coaches, sec-treasurers from Nv’s, motivated volunteers as well as Students apply for our funding! And we had successful projects take place because of strong support, awesome publicity as well as smooth team dynamic within many communities and organizations!
