Qayqayt Elementary PAC 11.10.2020

https://newwestschools.ca/online-learning-for-k-8-home-lea/ This link opens today for those that are not yet comfortable sending their children back to school full time. There are consequences to this decision listed on the SD40 website and I hope the school district will consider alternatives if enough people are not comfortable with full time return.... Registration for online learning and the Home Learners program opened at 9am today and closes on Monday Aug 31 at 4pm.

If you have goods for the Value Village Drive that you can't store or can't attend during the hours of the event, please email me at [email protected] and we'll try to connect you with another family that has garage space for temporary storage. I've been asked why the hours are as they are ...so by way of explanation here goes... There is no convenient place to store the goods at school so they have to be in a truck. We don’t know what size items anyone will be bringing in at a...ny given time. If we have enough volunteers to get a rental truck, drive it to Qayqayt, sit with it during the day to keep it open and then drive it to Value Village before they close then we can extend the hours. In the past the PAC had more people that were able to take more time off from their regular schedule to do manage this event. Currently we don’t. We are very happy to extend the hours with more parent volunteers. If you have time and are interested in helping, please email [email protected]. If you have other feedback please email Serena at [email protected]. Thank you.

Dear Qayqayt Families, We had a bit of a mixup with Value Village and we’re working with a new system for the donation collection and as such, our date has been rescheduled to February 25th. Collection from 8am - 6pm. Great news! This gives you more time to collect and get your loved ones to collect. ... We apologize for the inconvenience to those that are already holding stuff and hope you can store just a bit longer. Thank you for your support and your patience. Qayqayt PAC
