Just when you start thinking things can’t get much worse, more bad news. Two of our treasured client dogs have passed away in the past two days. Daphne was a lovely Golden Retriever who lit up our days when she stayed with us. And Austen - sweet old Austen - 16-plus years old, still agile and full of life - lost to an aggressive cancer in a matter of days. May the shamrocks fall softly, sweethearts. You will be sorely missed.

We have had the great pleasure for the past couple of days of having Victor, our one-eyed street urchin, here. He is such a sweet, happy boy who has obviously overcome his rough start in life as a feral dog on the steets of Mexico. Love this guy <3

We were so saddened tonight to hear that sweet Mhoira has passed away. She lived a long (13 years - a great age for a Scottish Deerhound!) and happy life with her people, and graced our home on several occasions. May the shamrocks fall softly, sweet girl. <3

No need for fancy toys when Sunny visits - her favourite playthings are the hundreds of fir cones at the bottom of our yard.

It has been a hot day here today, so we took the two-minute drive to the beach with sweet Sophie. She found the hundreds of scuttling hermit crabs very interesting, and couldn't for the life of her figure out why the tiny fish in the water didn't want to play. Gotta love a puppy!
