Happy National Day China & Happy Mid-autumn Festival! & October 1st is China’s National Day which is to commemorate the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. Meanwhile, the Mid-autumn Festival is on the 15th of the 8th month of lunar calendar. In 2020, this festival will fall on the same day as China’s National Day.... The Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important festival in China after Chinese New Year. On this day, Chinese people believe that the moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of Autumn. To celebrate this, People would like to gather for dinners and have some mooncakes.
