For 67 years, QCYC has provided a safe place for kids, teens, and adults to Learn To Sail! While we cannot predict how the next six months will unfold, we press on as we look to the future with cautious optimism. We will continue to ready our Learn To Sail program to offer a fun, supportive, safe, affordable and high quality camp experience. We will continue to post updates throughout the winter! We look forward to seeing you soon and as always thanks for your support.
Hello everyone. We come to you today with some news that we are not pleased to be sharing. Provincial regulations still prohibit operating a summer day camp and due to this ever changing and unstable situation. Queen City Learn to Sail has made the tough decision to announce the suspension of all youth Learn to Sail operations for 2020. The protocols around what can and cannot be offered is making it very difficult for our LTS program to deliver its primary goal of providing high quality teaching, and unique experiences while simultaneously ensuring the well-being of our young sailors, staff, and club members. To all who have registered in the Queen City Learn to Sail program, Thank you. We will be sending you a full refund. We hope you can still all get on the water this summer!!! Love, the QCYC team.
Learn to sail update: Last week, news from provincial health authorities and our regional/local government regulations gave us guidelines to consider before opening Queen City Learn to Sail programs. As we’re sure you are aware, COVID-19 safety protocols required for everyone’s safety are extensive. . . . We are committed to your health and safety, and due to the time and resources required to uphold an appropriate standards, we have regrettably decided to cancel the CANSail ...1-2 programming. Full refunds will be issued (less the $18 Sail Canada registration fee). Information on our Learn to Sail camps will be posted on our QCYC.ca website. . . .If you have any questions about our 2020 programming, please contact [email protected]. . . . Stay safe. Brighter days are ahead of us, keep #sailing! See more

Hello everyone! We hope you and your families are well during this difficult time. In this ever changing and unstable COVID-19 situation, QCYC has made the difficult decision to cancel Session 1 of the LTS Programs (which would have started June 29 and run for two weeks). We have also canceled the June 6 7 &1114 Adult Dinghy and Keel Boat Session. For now, the remaining Learn to Sail summer camps are planned to run as scheduled. Our decision to open sailing camps will be ...based on the current situation and advice/recommendations provided by our Provincial Sailing Association, Provincial public health authorities and our regional/local government. Updates and information on our Learn to Sail camps will be posted here on our Facebook page, on our Instagram (@qcycsailing) and at https://qcyc.ca/sailing/learntosail. Full refunds will be offered (less the $18 Sail Canada registration fee). Stay safe. Brighter days are ahead of us, keep sailing!

One of the most important skills: quick de-rig and rig at the dock so you can come in for lunch with your friends! If you don’t know how, we’ll teach you! These young sailors picked it up super quickly! #torontodaycamps #torontokids #torontosummer #torontoactivities #torontolife
Who wants to learn how to trapeze!? Although this is a more advanced skill that we teach later on, you don’t need any experience to get started! Youth and adult lessons will teach you the basics all the way up to this. This could be you this summer! QCYC.CA to learn more!
