ITS BBQ SEASON! Join us this Saturday from 12-3 for a community BBQ at 430 Langside st. This event is open to 2sQTBIPOC and is hosted in partnership with Spence Neighbourhood Association. ROUND 2! CARE microgrants are aimed at providing swift support for small projects influenced by the humanities (literature, history, philosophy, etc.). Projects centering QTBIPOC approaches to care, caring, and being careful are prioritized.... 10, $300 microgrants are available. Projects must adhere to Manitoba social/physical distancing guidelines. Ideas? A poem, photo, a song, a short drag performance, a mini stand up comedy set, a painting... Thank you Brielle @hernameisbrielle for your brave protest at last year’s Pride parade, leading a march of amazing humans down the Portage Ave route and ensuring our communities were heard had visibility on the Portage Ave! .... . . There is no doubt that @hernameisbrielle ’s efforts ,and those who supported her that day, sparked the Pride board and others to ensure that we are not relegated to side streets during what is not only a festival but a PROTEST to ensure we see equity for our 2SQTBIPOC/ LGBTQ* communities .
