Full Circle: a qtbipoc youth program 31.01.2021

We're so excited to announce what we've been working on for the fall! 'Line Up!' is a 3 week mentorship program to provide English speaking youth ages 14-25 with resources to create a comic using the skills being taught by the Mentors. This will lead them to present their final creation on the P10 website and in a virtual museum. The virtual museum will also be an opportunity to raise funds for local 2STQBIPOC led community initiatives/organizations. We are giving eac...h youth an entry-level drawing tablet, Clip Studio subscription, and an honorarium for their work and art. Given the pandemic and in person restrictions, this program will be held online via Zoom. sign up through the link in on Full Circle IG or at https://bit.ly/3kznDgN Application deadline is November 9th at 11:59PM EST Poster: GLOWZI See more

Considered by many as a mother figure, Liberiaalso known as la Contessais one of our elders and a pillar of the Montréal trans community. A multi-talented singer, dancer and performer, Liberia performed in hundreds of shows in Montréal, California and throughout Mexico, and was for many years a major force in trans and queer nightlife. She even released an album in the 90s, entitled My Origins. Generous and caring, she organized artistic events to raise money for Astteq... and helped many young girls with their transitions. A few years ago, Liberia was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Like most people living with Parkinson’s, Liberia requires extensive care, treatment and assistance. WeLiberia’s friends and community activistsare fundraising with the hope of raising enough money to provide our friend, Mother, and elder with the financial support that she needs to access adequate care and therapeutic equipment (such as a lift chair specially designed for people with mobility issues) to help improve her quality of life.
