Hello Everyone, Hope this emails finds you all well. Some of you may already know that each year we raise money for the Gift of Good Food. More than 10 families each year in the Hillside/Quadra Area have benefit from this gift. In the past we have had our doors open and people have been welcome to stop by and buy a bowl and have lunch with us, unfortunately this year we are not able to have people come in and enjoy lunch together but we are able to pack it to go! Hoping y...ou will consider supporting our fundraising campaign this year by stopping by and picking up a bowl of chili to go! Quadra Village Community Centre recognizes the intense threats to our health and challenges of living in a more isolated way in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We humans are social beings and thrive best when we are living in relationship with one another. With a better future in mind, we believe in the importance of following provincial health orders and adapting our programs/services in creative ways. Our goal is be supportive in the most essential and meaningful w...ays while modeling and maintaining safety within our community. Now that new provincial orders have been issued (starting November 19) we are reducing our access to in-person services other than childcare and school based supports. Access to outreach and other supports will be in person if essential to a person’s well-being through the Community Centre. As well, we will continue to offer registered food supports for those who have requested it through our call list.
