Screen Deluxe Sunscreen Window Shades or Solar Shades are roller shades featuring a see-through mesh material that blocks the sun while maintaining a view. Solar Shades feature a see-through material that blocks UV rays and the outside elements while maintaining a view. They operate very similarly to the traditional roller shade. The element that makes Solar Shades unique is their mesh, see-through fabrication. The higher the openness factor of the mesh fabrication, the more light and outside elements can come through the window. The 1% and 3% are relatively tight weaves, which allows more of a silhouette rather than a full view. They also will allow you to work on your computer or watch TV without the sun making it difficult. However, these are still not made for areas where total privacy is a must.
