I want to show everyone how online lessons work, but that isn't possible to do in person so...............tomorrow, Thursday April 23rd, at 4:00 pm, I will be going Live to show you the way the studio has changed. For all my current online students please feel free to share what you like, or don't like, about our online lessons. To all my friends and students. To anyone wanting to learn piano whether you have taken lessons or not, have I got some great news. Starting on Thursday this week I will be going Live on Facebook with Theory tips and tricks. Then starting next Tuesday I will be going Live on Facebook with some technique tips and tricks. These will be quick 10-15 minute segments to help everyone no matter what level you are at. Can't wait to see you all on Thursday. If you have any specific questions about Theory, let me know and I will try to answer as many as possible. Kim

Anyone who is interested in learning more about online lessons, let me know. I have some fun and exciting news coming next week and you are going to want to get in on this for sure. It doesn't matter if you are an existing student or someone who just wants to fill some time while they are at home, we can do all our lessons ONLINE. So many wonderful ways to do this. Be sure to watch here for the announcement coming next week :)

Hey everyone, I just wanted to make sure that anyone who was interested in trying online lessons is doing so. I am willing to treat it as if it is your first lesson again and we can see how it goes. I am willing to modify times so that everyone can be done early in the day. Also, for anybody out there who would like to give lessons a try, please don't hesitate to contact me. With the quarantine still in effect, I will be continuing to offer lessons online, but I do not feel comfortable offering lessons face to face at this time. Thank you for your continued support.

Challenge for all students. Everyone has at least 2 songs that I have assigned them. If you are not doing online lessons, and even if you are, please practice those songs a bit at a time and if necessary hands separately. If you are constantly struggling with one section of a song, practice that section slowly, hands separately and then try hands together. If need be, write all the notes that you are struggling with on your score, but please use pencil. All students who come to their lesson after these 2 weeks of quarantine and can play the songs that I have assigned them from memory, your name will be entered into a draw. Not sure what the prize if going to be yet so if you have any ideas for a cool prize, let me know. Thanks

Hello Monday, Bonjour Lundi. The sun is trying so hard to shine after the weather from yesterday. I hope that everyone is warm and dry and that we have all practiced what we are working on. Yes me included LOL. As all of my students know I will never stop learning and I will never stop bettering myself to become the best teacher I can be for my students. You all deserve a teacher who gives you their all. Let's all pray that we don't have to cancel any lessons this week for weather or illness. Get better to everyone who isn't feeling well. Kim

Hello students and parents, I am so excited today. The snow has stopped and that hopefully means that we are done with the storm from yesterday. But even more exciting is that I am offering a beginner theory class to not only all of my students but also anyone who is studying music and is struggling in any way. Music theory is a great way to kick start your learning and get yourself beyond any "walls" that you may have encountered. The beginner class is going to be offer...ed on Tuesday's from 5:30 - 6:30. This class will be taught using both English and French curriculum so that everyone can succeed. Pass on this information to anyone that you know who is studying music and struggling or you think needs a bit of help. Parents - this class could also be for you to understand some of what your children are doing in their lessons with me. It can help you to help your children with their practice at home. You do not need to register for a semester, this is offered on a weekly basis (pay as you go for parents only). Kim

Due to the freezing rain and ice pellets that we are currently getting, I am hoping that all my students stay safe and stay home. If anyone feels that they could arrive for lessons safely, please let me know. Otherwise I will see you all next week.
