Qu'Appelle Fire and Rescue 15.11.2020

Please note. Due to covid concernd and to ensure we can keep everyone safe There will be change in drop off location for the baby shower. We will post ASAP. Thank you In cooperation with Emergency Community Support Fund Canada Qu'Appelle Fire & Rescue is happy to host a virtual Baby Shower for Brittney Rode of Qu'Appelle. Brittney and Tyler Mitchell and big sister (2 year old Zemria Rode) welcomed triplets on November 3rd at 10:31 am beginning with Dominic Jeffrey ...Neil Mitchell (4lbs 1oz - 42.5 cm), Harlow Kelly Emily Mitchell (4lbs - 46 cm) at 10:34 am and Harper Kenna Quinn Mitchell (3lbs 10 oz - 43.5 cm) at 10:36 am. With times as they are it is tough to host a baby shower but this young couple could sure use some help. Feel free to add a card! I'm sure the family will enjoy reading them. We are encouraging diapers (and of course clothing) as well as other baby items. If you have gently used items we ask that they be washed and placed in a sealed bag and we will ensure they get these as well. The virtual baby shower starts now and ends December 7th. Thank you in advance for your support. See more

Watch this space - The 50+ Club had an emergency and had to replace their hot water heater. The Department can't donate to this as it isn't in our mandate however, our group decided we could hold an auction online for a one week time-period and help our seniors pay for this $1300.00+ expense. We hope you will want to help as well. We are just working on putting it all together but you might want to do some of your Christmas shopping through the auction. We do have new and used items. If you have something you would like to donate please reach our to us, we appreciate any assistance you can provide. Watch our site in the next few days for all the info on the auction.

Some people sleep at night - and some people not only drive a tow truck at night (and day) but also fight fires or cut apart cars... If you have ever had to call a tow truck/or are you glad you didn't have to - please vote now. We need you!!!

Did you think I forgot some members?? No - I am back... Bud Rice is an auxillary member who helps us out by teaching classes (Livestock accident rescue) at fundraisers (especially the garage sale), selling tickets, as well as driving a semi for us... Bud has been a Semi driver and instructor for many years and therefore - if you know a semi driver - or want to thank all the semi drivers who made sure we had everything we needed during Covid - now is the time to vote.

Who would have thought that this guy would one day spend his middle of the nights on a highway helping someone or fighting a fire. Firefighter Tye Rice is a great asset to the team. A team player who doesn't do drama - but is always willing to help wherever needed. Let's get everyone who married their high school sweetheart to vote now.

If you appreciate that these people respond when it's 40 below - vote now....
