Hey Revelstoke! We've made the decision with all of the new health orders announced yesterday by Dr. Henry to take a short break while the new provincial restrictions are in effect. We will be open TODAY and TOMORROW, and we'd absolutely love to see you before we close our doors for a little while.... We're remain confident that it's safe to dine in restaurants, and the province has said the same. However, in this time of travel restrictions and small social bubbles, we want to do our part to curb the spread wherever possible so that our entire community and province can enjoy a great winter. So in these tough times, help us by doing your part to help our community stay safe for the future. Wear a mask, and keep your social bubble small. Your household, or if you live alone, 1-2 people that you're regularly in contact with. Let's all make sure that we can enjoy a full winter of powder days, delicious food, and give our visitors the positive energy that our town is known for. And in the meantime, keep supporting businesses you care about in any way you can. Ordering take out, buying gift cards, or getting a head start on your holiday shopping are all great places to start. In that spirit, we will be open for family style take-out only on Fridays and Saturdays starting next week. Our chefs will be designing a new meal each week and we'll be taking take-out orders ahead of time, so keep your eyes peeled for an announcement on what will be up for grabs! Sharing Food We can't recommend it enough to our guests. Beyond the obvious benefits of getting to taste new things, sharing food builds trust, makes you a more selfless person, and builds connections between new groups of people. Although with #COVID, we can't advocate big tastings with groups of new people, sitting down for a shared meal amongst people inside your bubble absolutely contributes to healthier and richer relationships.... Studies have argued that food in primitive times would come in large portion - forcing humans to cooperate, share, and divide food equally. Those same influences greatly impact the emotional connections made when eating a big family-style meal. Try something new, and next time you have a meal - make sure to share
