Well, another year has come and gone and the difference is striking. This certainly wasn’t the Queens County Fair week that we’ve all come to know and love. However, we wanted to thank you all for joining us this year virtually for a walk down memory lane. We are excited to see you all in person next year in 2021 and create new memories with you!

Queens County Fair Memories. The best part about the fair is the excitement you get as a kid, getting ready to go to spend a week with horses and the fair family and then getting to take three days off of school to spend there! then as you get older the excitement doesn’t go away and you get to see it pass on to the next generation who are all getting to miss school to go to the fair!

Queens County Fair Memories My best memory. Is rolling in Wednesday off the bus, and later as an adult with my children. Hearing the squeals and squabbles of animals unloading and settling in, making rounds through out the evening to check on your animals, catching up with friends and family warming up with a beverage of choice and talking of hopes for a good fair and trying to fall asleep that night in your trailer. The first smells of fair Thursday morning; the breakfast a...t the canteen, the smell of all the animals now settled in. The butterflies in your belly rise with the sun as you prepare for parade. Feeling like a celebrity as you prance into the Fair gates with the parade. Sounds of the Rides and music pump from the midway and everything’s in full swing. People pour into the gates and you smile because you know you’ll be dead tired at the end of Sunday but you know it’s so worth the four days and five nights. See more

Queens County Fair Memories Growing up in Waterborough the Queens County Fair was the excitement of the year. And as you got older, as a teen the big thing was to work in the French Fry booth. And am I glad I got too. Working with a tall handsome Gagetown boy, lead me to where I am now. Two beautiful grown children and a marriage of 30 years. If it wasn't for the Queens County Fair, I wouldn't have met my husband.

Did you know that in 1993 we were visited by the sitting Prime Minister of Canada the Right Honourable Kim Campbell at the Queens County Fair! She is the first and only woman to hold the position as Prime Minister of Canada. Check out the footage below

Since we aren’t currently parading through the Beautiful Village of Gagetown towards the fair grounds for the grand opening, like we usually are at this time we thought we’d still parade in a different way today. On the week of what would have been the 75th Queens County Fair, on behalf of our Executive Board, Board of Directors, Committee Members and Volunteers, we hope you are all staying safe and healthy throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic. We want to assure everyone that we are working hard to develop and deliver a successful Queens County Fair in 2021 and hope to see you all next year!
