Life can be tough. It’s okay for everyone to reach out and ask for help. Most calls for support are from women, and we want to make it easier for men to reach... out for help too. That’s why we are now offering a Men’s Helpline, available 24/7 through 211. Someone is always ready to listen. It’s free. It’s confidential. It can help. Call 211 to connect.

The spirit of the holidays is a time of giving for most but, for scammers, it is a time of taking. We are highlighting 12 Days of Holiday Scams so that you can ...recognize, reject, report and be merry. DAY 9: EMERGENCY scam calls aim to separate you from your money quickly through panic & fear. The fraudster may claim to be a family member or a friend in desperate need of money to get out of a tricky situation. A secondary fraudster will often pretend to be a police officer, lawyer and/or health care provider in order to support their fake story. In Queens, voters do not require a voter card or letter to vote. The system being used is voting by paper ballot. The voter cards and letters residents are hearing about pertain to voting in neighbouring Municipalities in Lunenburg and Shelburne counties. In Queens, voting is as easy as showing up at the polling station, and casting your vote!
