#StudentSpotlight Meet Abayomi Okubote, PhD Student in Law: Harmonizing laws, preventing fragmentation. A key issue in international arbitration is its prohibitive cost. Due to the rising cost of international arbitration, claim holders are seeking different ways of financing their claims. Third-party funding (TPF) provides a means for those without the ready cash to prosecute their claims and vindicate their rights. However, this funding model has both ethical and policy concerns which has triggered the call for the regulation of TPF.
