Queens alumnus Andrew Feustel (PhD95) has been assigned to a NASA mission to space. Dr. Feustel was one of four distinguished alumni chosen as honorary degree recipients during the fall convocation ceremonies.

Andrew Feustels (PhD95) career has led to a range of locations from deep underground in mines across North America, to underwater laboratories with NASA, to... over 500km above sea level, as an astronaut servicing the Hubble Space Telescope. On November 16, he returned home to Queens to accept an honorary doctorate of science at fall convocation. In his address to the graduating class, Dr. Feustel shared some important lessons hes learned on how to be a strong leader, the value of effective followers and the importance of remembering your mission.
