Niagara locals may be familiar with these curves while grabbing a tasty pint Silversmith Brewing Company in Virgil. Constructing this long multi-piece wooden arch was a welcome challenge as was reproducing and matching Gothic details for a cohesive look. The thickness planer and onsite bandsaw definitely got a work out. We consider ourselves lucky and honoured to have been invited to collaborate on this project. We will be posting more on this great Gothic church conversion - or you can view the entire project on our Houzz gallery link in bio. @ Silversmith Brewing Company

Don’t worry - we can hack it. While we love building from scratch it isn’t practical for every project. There is a special satisfaction we get from the challenge of taking a manufactured product and altering it to suit our needs. For this kitchen renovation, we were tasked with making our client's Ikea dream come true. She was in love with the Abstrakt (now called Voxtorp) cabinets but the available configuration of this product didn’t suit her space.... For the pantry wall, we doubled the depth of the top cabinets to match the lowers. The island is outfitted in Ikea as well with a modified Sektion roll up cabinet that converts this space into a workstation as well. There is a whole culture built around Ikea hacking and we are on board. (Pun intended ;) What are some of your favourite Ikea hacks? @ St. Catharines

We’re asked to do sliding barn doors on almost every project - most of them using a stock door and hardware. Once in a while we get to do a custom job like this beautiful behemoth designed by Brian E. Burgess & Associates for @rumarfarm @ Rumar Farm

Small budget big dreams? Strategic selection of basic elements brings this glamorous kitchen renovation to life. These vinyl floors and laminate countertops mimic natural wood and marble to give this kitchen an updated luxe feel without breaking the bank. We’ll leave that up to the light fixtures.

In with new and out with theexcessive brick? Our B&B client decided to upgrade this beautiful but huge historic fireplace to fit the space better and convert it from wood to gas without compromising its integrity. So what to do?... Our masonry restoration specialist disassembled the vintage brick and put them aside to rebuild the chimney structure to so that it would accommodate a new gas insert and granite hearth. We designed and created a new floating mantle and utilized reclaimed wood for the false beam on the ceiling. Do you have a fixture that you love but can’t seem to figure out how to incorporate it into your vision for your home? This is our favourite kind of dilemma :) @ Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario
