On Transgender Day of Remembrance, me and Carlisle - on the Ontario Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf board - will be presenting in ASL (American Sign Language) all the basics about transness to stop the transphobia that kills us. We will be having a moment of silence for those lost due to transphobia. There will be an outline note of the presentation provided and you can watch it anytime. Image description in caption.

Fuck Remembrance Day/Veterans Day. I don't see the point of participating in an imperialist celebration of military. BUT we should remember and celebrate all of us Black and Indigenous women, alive or dead, who contributed and still contribute to make the world what it is today. One of many examples is Miss Major, still alive TODAY, who has fought for us trans people for many years. Here is her monthly fundraising circle to donate to: https://fundly.com/missmajor... We are the true veterans. Edit - previous edited to add link to fundraising circle, but forgot to note that

So messed up. Social assistance fraud is exceedingly rare, and the $1.5 million cost mentioned in this article, umm... so Ontario can afford to increase the income of folks on ODSP and OW, they just are choosing not to do so. Listed as an expense for April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020, these amounts are what was paid to folks on ODSP and OW in total (https://www.ontario.ca//expenditure-estimates-ministry-chi): ODSP financial assistance: $5,334,315,000... OW financial assistance: $2,525,869,200 Total: $7,860,184,200 Fuck capitalism. [image: Jessica-Faye Watters is pictured outside and wearing a black mask with glasses.]

We can celebrate that Donald Trump is out, but also remember: Joe Biden is a return of the USA to normalcy (not as in goodness but I don't know how to articulate further than that). WP, do not forget the issues of Black people in the USA.... Keep fighting. Keep Joe Biden accountable to his promises. From over here in Canada and the rest of the world, we are watching.
