Breaking U-R-U news! For the final performance of U-R-U at Next Stage Theatre Festival, the role of "Dominator" will be played by Celia Green. We're so pleased to have Celia return to the world of U-R-U after having played "Dominator" during a workshop production at Humber College in 2017. Celia is a queer creator, performer and choreographer based in Toronto. Her work has been supported by P.A.R.T.S in Brussels, Belgium, Stone Boat Farm artist centre in Lanark County, Ontari...o, and the Paprika Festival. As an actor and dancer she has performed in works at Soulpepper Theatre Company, Mirvish Productions, The McMichael Canadian Art Collection, and Nuit Blanche Toronto. Training includes workshops with transdisciplinary arts organization La Pocha Nostra, Kaeja d'Dance, and the P.A.R.T.S summer school in contemporary dance. Her first full length work, WAH WAH WAH, was recently presented at the SummerWorks Performance Festival, where she was awarded The Theatre Centre’s Emerging Artist Award, and at the Wildside Festival in Montreal. Celia is part of the 2020 Emerging Creator's Unit cohort at Buddies In Bad Times Theatre. See more
