It's safe to say most people who work in or own a bookstore like books. That is definitely true for me! My grandpa is a major reason why I love reading/books as much as I do. I would even go so far as to say he's the reason I dreamt of opening my own bookstore when I was little. I've wanted to make Quill and Ink a reality for years, but until recently, I thought it would be just stay a dream. I'm so grateful to my mentor, family, and friends who have supported me while I got... this bookstore from pipe dream to brick-and-mortar bookstore. It's been an incredibly journey so far, and this is just the beginning! I always wanted my bookstore to be a place where people could come and find that special book they've been looking for for years. I wanted it to be a place of community, a place where people can gather with friends, family, co-workers, or just come by themselves and enjoy the solitude of a bookstore. I hope as the months continue Quill and Ink becomes just that for the communities east of Regina

It probably comes as no surprise to learn that I love talking about books with people. Our book clubs are a great way to get together with other book lovers, and read books that we may not normally have picked up otherwise! Our adult book club, "The Next Chapter" will meet June 26 at 1pm to discuss "Chosen Ones" by Veronica Roth. Our teen book club, "Yay for YA" will meet June 28 at 7pm to talk about "What Big Teeth" by Rose Szabo. The weather certainly suggests this is the perfect weekend to curl up with a good book and cup of something warm! We’re open for another hour if you need something to occupy you.
