In anticipation of the reopening of the Woodland Cultural Centre and the Quilt of Belonging exhibit there, the museum hosted an online screening of the Quilt documentary "A Place for All". The film was followed by a Q & A with founding artist, Esther Bryan. The Quilt exhibit has been extended for the fall. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OUR GENEROUS DONORS THIS SUMMER. With the pandemic, all the Quilt’s revenue sources were cut off as special events were cancelled and exhibitions closed. The Quilt didn’t qualify for any government subsidies either. Thankfully, your gifts are carrying us through the crisis and we are proud to acknowledge each donor on our website at https://www.quiltofbelonging.ca/support/. It’s not too late to add your name to that honour role. Just click https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/11736 to donate. THANK YOU!

HAPPY CANADA DAY! As we celebrate today, we are thankful for the blessings we enjoy in this country and proud of the way we are working together. Today brings back wonderful memories of being at Ottawa City Hall for the Canada 150 celebrations on Canada Day 3 years ago. Red and white everywhere and a day packed with excited visitors from so many nations to see the Quilt wave.
