The salon is closed till May 28. I got a call today that one of the salon's guest tested positive for covid-19. As a precaution, I have been told to get tested as well as self-isolate. While I do everything I can to make the salon safe for every one of my guests, situations like this happen. So this is me signing off from behind the chair for a while. How is everyone doing out there? This has been an interesting week. Mother nature gave us months of snow in 2 days.. There has been a steady increase in covid cases in the city and province and It's snowing again!!! It is very important for all of us to follow the department of health's guidelines to lower the spread of this virus. Please remember that correct wearing of your face mask is necessary when you are visiting the salon (whether for services or to shop). I... am doing everything required by the health department to make sure that the salon is clean and safe for us all. This includes wiping down and cleaning all touch point surfaces with disinfectant wipes after each guest. Cleaning tools and replacing Barbicide solution daily. I always encourage my loc guests to not forget their maintenance appointments. It took almost 5 hours to get this king's natural locs taken care off. He hadn't come in for a maintenance in 3 years. His locs were first separated, then shampooed and clarified before tightening all the new growth as well as take care of a few broken locs.
