Quinte Area 4 on 4 07.01.2021

Hi Folks, I just wanted to touch base with you. At this time, we have 46 of 72 skaters and 6 of 6 goalies signed up for the Peewee division. Registration closes on March 13 and our hope is to have at least 60 skaters for 6 teams. The QS&WC is closed to the public starting tonight March 12 @ 9:00 PM, but open to those attending the Quinte Sportsman Boat & RV Show, so our mail slot is only accessible until then or unless you are attending the show.... If you know of any others who are sitting on the fence about playing, please pass word on to them. They can scan me the application & waiver and pay by e-transfer to secure their players spot. Any questions or concerns please contact us at [email protected]

Hello All, I understand some of you are skeptical of our new Atom 5 on 5 concept as response has been weak. Our website has been updated so you can see who has registered for this new concept. Thus, we have decided to drop from 6 teams to 4 teams in the Atom 2010-2012 division and we have added a 2 team Development 2013-2015 division. The 10 + 10 number of ice times and the cost will still be the same for both divisions.... Also our website has updated for the Peewee and Bantam divisions. We have enough goalies for Peewee and Bantam, we just need to add more skaters. Don’t miss out. It’s the final weekend of the season for some of you, so please help us by passing on information by sharing this post and liking/following our page. Please help us get the word out about our new concept!

Hello All, The following is additional information about the Atom division. Due to the changes in OMHA try-outs and ice formats, we have decide to make the Atom division 5 on 5 play, with dates for games and development ice. In total they will get 20 ice times, 10 games + 10 development, and the season will run into the end of the school year.... Development days will consist of half ice with skate training with Nicole Coons, included in the cost. We hope to select good coaches that will work with the kids each week. Each team will consist of 10-12 players and 1 goalie. We will allow 2013 players if parents feel they are capable. Please check out the website. Click on SPRING SESSION, drop down ATOM, and it lists the whole season. We have enough ice for 6 teams. 6 goalies and 72 skaters so think about applying soon. I have attached the application, waiver and rules for you: https://drive.google.com//1VaTT3bFAlLZhMD2lmF2BLbWdZ/view https://drive.google.com//184EBmJJ_sQcfFBKOpcFB5e-AV/view We are also in the process of organizing 2 week long camps in July and August for Atom and Peewee aged players only with the assistance of Nicole Coons. There will be ice times, dryland, futsal, swimming and more. Camp will run 8 AM 5 PM and cost will be $500 with space limited to 10-12 skaters and 1 goalie per group. Atom will have 2 groups (24 skaters + 2 goalies) and Peewee the same. If interested please let us know as we build a list. And of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please make sure to send us an email at [email protected]

We are getting interested parents inquiring about a Midget division. We haven’t ran this division in 3 years, but we will keep a list of those interested to see if we get enough to run this year. Please email us at [email protected] to be added to our Midget list!

Hello Everyone, Just so you’re aware, the website has not been updated. We apologize for the delay in getting this information out to you all, but we were only just able to secure our ice time on Wednesday. Please see the following updates below...... 4 on 4 Bantam 2006-07 division will have 8 games and will start March 1 and be complete by April 19. Cost $160. 4 on 4 Peewee 2008-09 division will start after March Break and complete an 8 game schedule by April 19. Cost $160. If ice becomes available we will start this sooner. There will be no ice times the week of March Break. With changes by OMHA to the Atom and Novice age groups, the Atom 2010-1012 (with exception to some 2013), will this year be a 5 on 5 regular play division and will start around April 5 and run until the last week of school. 10 games, 10 development dates. Cost $350. Game days will be mostly Sunday evening. Plans are in place to have split ice for Wednesday practice dates with Nicole Coons doing skating development. The other half will be doing development and this is where we will meet with the coaches to work on a practice plan. If you have any questions please contact us at [email protected] Thanks!

Hello All QA 4on4 Users! We hope your 2020 is off to a great start. Please see below for an update on the spring season: We are not sending out the application and waiver forms yet. At this time we have met with the City for Spring & Summer ice times and nothing has been secured. They are waiting, as per usual, for local associations to turn back ice for March and April, and to set their spring try-out dates. The City has assured me we will meet early February to build a sch...edule. With the recent spring try-out changes for the 2020-21 season affecting the Atom Major teams and below, we are looking to acquire ice until the end of the school year and adding skill sessions with local trainers. There is also the possibility we might try to organize an August camp to get the kids prepared for the Fall try-outs in these divisions. We will keep everyone posted as we secure ice, but in the meantime please spread the word around about our ideas. Thanks, Brian Christopher
