We are so excited to be featuring QBSC alumni, Lily McEvenue! We are so proud of all of her incredible accomplishments Lily McEvenue is a performing artist and Pilates instructor from Toronto. Lily began her dance training at the Quinte Ballet School of Canada for several years, before moving to Toronto to pursue a professional career. She started out as a corps de ballet member with Opera Atelier for three seasons, including two international tours across Europe and t...he United States. Lily then landed her first role, playing ‘Victoria’ in the musical Cats with Toronto’s NuMu Theatricals. Since then, performing credits include Anne of Green Gables at the Charlottetown Festival, and with Drayton Entertainment. She has also done three seasons with the Stratford Festival, including Guys and Dolls, HMS Pinafore, The Music Man, and the upcoming 2020 season (Chicago and Frankenstein Revived). Lily has also made appearances in a few television shows, including the CW networks Reign, Global TV’s Mary Kills People, and most recently Netflix’s upcoming show Tiny Pretty Things. When Lily isn’t performing, she teaches Pilates in her home studio space in Toronto. Since receiving her pilates certification in 2013, Lily has continued to study in courses geared towards therapeutic and post-rehabilitative movement. She has been a major influence in the dance and theatre community on educating both injury prevention, and conditioning for performance. See more

Introducing Blythe Graziano! QBSC Recreation Division teacher - Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, and Adult Modern teacher! Growing up in Victoria B.C. Blythe has been immersed in the world of dance from the time she was born. Having trained with Maureen Eastick at Pacific Dance Centre she established her ballet technique while exploring other forms of dance such as tap with Sherri Black and modern with Linda Raino, among many others. Eventually this led her to programs such as Peggy... Baker’s Summer Dance Program and the Toronto Dance Theatre. After making the difficult decision not to pursue a career in dance Blythe turned her attention to raising her young family. It was then that she discovered yoga, and soon found herself dedicated to the practice of Ashtanga. Under the guidance of David Gellineau at Beach Yoga Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Blythe completed her teachers training and soon began to teach there. Over the following decade it was here that she developed her own style of teaching, bringing her acute body awareness that she learned through her intense ballet training to the practice of yoga by focusing on the alignment of the body. When her daughter began to dance at Quinte Ballet School, she felt inspired and ready to return to her roots of ballet and to be a part of QBSC’s teaching team and RAD program. She is excited to fuse the intuitive alignment and breath control of yoga with the artistry and physicality of ballet. See more
